  • Achieved the forecasted budget in site maintenance, catalyst and chemicals of $26 million for the Fluid Catalytic Cracker, Crude Vacuum Pipe Still, Sulfur Block and ISOM refining units.
  • Helped develop and lead cross-functional Production Team that addressed area safety, environmental, yield, energy, reliability and cost objectives associated with area refining units.
  • Staffed, planned decontamination, and defined scopes of work for 2006 FCC and Sulfur Block maintenance turnarounds. Decontaminated FCC unit and turned over to maintenance in 3.5 days.

Equipment Specialist-Capital Heat Transfer-Shell Global Solutions, Houston, TX, 1997 - 2004

  • For large capital heat transfer projects having a TIC value from $75 to $500 million, provided owner's technical guidance to Engineering Contractors for the design and fabrication of fired (refinery heaters, boilers and incinerators), un-fired (heat exchangers, air coolers, cooling water towers and vacuum systems) and heat transfer equipment.
  • Maintained competencies and skills to design fired and un-fired heat transfer equipment through the use of HTRI, FRNC-5 (Fired Heater) and Shell in-house modeling programs.
