  • Monitoring conducted for numerous air contaminants and noise. The number of days per year onsite for these projects varied from 2 to 25 days.

Goodrich

  • Managed IH monitoring projects for several Goodrich facilities, (Ohio, Texas, South Carolina, Kentucky, California, Kanas, and Tennessee)
  • Monitoring conducted for numerous air contaminants and noise.
  • Qualitative exposure assessments were also conducted at several facilities to determine the sampling plan and frequency of sampling.
  • The number of days per year onsite for these projects varied from 1 to 3 days.

Arizona Chemical, Ohio, Georgia, and Florida

  • Managed IH monitoring projects for seven Arizona Chemical facilities. Monitoring conducted for numerous air contaminants and noise.

Weyerhaeuser, Multiple States and Canada

  • Managed an IH contract for Weyerhaeuser (three years), a forest product company.
  • Monitoring conducted at 70-100 facilities per year for air contaminant (e.g., wood dust, forklift exhaust, formaldehyde, welding fumes), noise, asbestos monitoring and oversight, lead monitoring, heat stress, nonionizing radiation, and ventilation assessment.

Valspar, Kentucky and California

  • Managed IH monitoring projects for four Valspar facilities.
  • Monitoring conducted for numerous air contaminants and noise. The number of days per year onsite for these projects varied from one to five days.

Ergon, Numerous States

  • Managed an IH surveys for Ergon over the last two years in: Texas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arizona, Oklahoma, Kansas, Georgia, Arkansas, Nevada, Utah and Pennsylvania.
  • Monitoring conducted at 10-21 facilities per year for air contaminant (e.g., asphalt fumes, and hydrogen sulfide), noise, and ventilation assessment.

Indy Drum, Indiana

  • Prepared and assisted in the negotiation of a settlement with OSHA pertaining to a citation. The settlement reduced the fine by more than 50 percent.

U.S. Census Bureau, Oregon

  • Prepared and assisted in the negotiation of a settlement with OSHA pertaining to a notice.
  • The settlement reduced the severity of the notices from willful to other than serious for 85% of the notices.

American Electric Power, Indiana and Ohio

  • Managed IH projects for several electric utility plants during outage season to determine whether respirators are required. Air monitoring conducted for hexavalent chromium, welding fume metals, and respirable silica.

Tennessee Valley Authority, Tennessee

  • Certified senior review of IH air monitoring reports during outage work at the utilities.
  • Senior review of IH air monitoring reports during cleanup for the Kingston ash spill.

United Technologies Corporation

Projects

Sikorsky

  • Conducted hygiene and safety audits for several facilities, (in Connecticut, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin), to determine compliance with OSHA and corporate hygiene and safety procedures.

Hamilton Sundstrand

  • Conducted hygiene and safety audit at facilities, (Connecticut, Colorado, Florida and Nebraska), to evaluate compliance with OSHA regulations with an emphasis on the hazard communication, emergency action plans, means of egress, flammable liquids, hazardous chemicals in laboratories, and ionizing and non-ionizing radiation standards.
  • Conducted several hygiene and safety audits at this facility to evaluate compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • In addition, expanded the environmental, health, and safety manual to address OSHA, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), and company regulations.

Pratt & Whitney, Texas

  • Conducted hygiene and safety audit for a facility to determine compliance with OSHA and corporate hygiene and safety procedures.

Clipper Windpower, Iowa

  • Conducted hygiene and safety audit for a facility to determine compliance with OSHA and corporate hygiene and safety procedures.
  • Prepared the health and safety portion of the Legal Registry for the site.

Kidde, North Carolina, West Virginia, Texas, and California

  • Conducted hygiene and safety facilities audits to determine compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Audits ranged from two days to five days depending on the complexity of the site and the building square footage.
  • Provided hygiene and safety support for the facility to address deficiencies identified during an audit.
  • Developed written programs to address these deficiencies for blood borne pathogens, confined space, emergency action plan, hazard communication, hearing conservation, lockout/tag out, and respirator protection.

Carrier (for locations: Arkansas, Texas, Tennessee, Ohio, Washing, DC, Maryland and California)

  • Managed a project to determine whether Carrier personnel who repaired and serviced industrial units were required to participate in OSHA hearing-conservation program.
  • Managed a machine safeguarding project evaluating selected machinery to determine whether it met OSHA and UTC Standard Practice SP-008 machine-guarding requirements.
  • Conducted IAQ, Indoor Air Quality assessment, which included walk-through inspection, informal interviews with personnel, testing of basic IAQ parameters, and collection of air samples for fungal (e.g., mold) contaminants and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Lockheed Martin, New Mexico

  • Performed an IAQ assessment to determine whether the buildings are suitable for occupancy. The assessment included inspection of the buildings and air sampling for asbestos, lead, and mold.

Howard Industries, Mississippi
