Employed as a Consultant Master Mariner on their Aframax tanker, attending to operational and legislative concerns.

2000 - 2004 Northern Marine Management (Glasgow, UK)

Employed originally as Marine Consultant, assisting Project Manager undertaking hull equipment outfitting, final surveys, and sea trials during VLCC new buildings at Daewoo Shipyard Korea. Pre-purchase sale inspection on second hand VLCC. Cargo and ballast tank CAP surveys, setting up and implementing ISM safety management systems onboard vessels.

1999 - 2000 Jardine Ship Management (Hong Kong)

Employed as Consulting Cargo Officer, undertaking conversion of product tanker from black to white oil, also preparing dry-dock specification.

1999 - 1999 Fendercare (Seething, UK)

Acting as an Associate Marine Consultant, undertaking Mooring Master operations during ship-to-ship transfers, and expert witness for OBO operations.

1998 - 1999 "Nord" Klaus E. Oldendorff (Limassol, Cyprus)

Assisting the Owners Project Manager during the VLCC new building at Halla Shipyard S. Korea, undertaking hull equipment outfitting, final surveys, and sea trials. Sailing as Master of the vessel, setting up and implementing the ISM safety management system onboard.

1998 - 1998 Snowden McLeod and Associates (Farnham, UK)

Employed as an Associate Marine Consultant and undertaking Mooring Master / Pilot operations during ship-to-ship transfers. Condition Reports and Longevity analysis for HM Government vessels. Tanker expediting and petroleum loss control.

1997 - 1998 Barber Ship Management (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)

Assisting the Project Manager undertaking hull equipment outfitting, final surveys, and sea trials during VLCC new buildings at Daewoo Shipyard Korea. Sailing as Master, setting up and implementing the ISM Safety Management System onboard and writing up the dry-dock specification.

1997 - 1997 Thome Ship Management (Singapore)

Sailed as Master, setting up and implementing the ISM safety Management system on board, and writing up the dry-dock specification. Undertaking Ship-to-Ship transfers to China.

1987 - 1997 Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (Safat, Kuwait)

Sailing as Master since July 1989, and previously as Chief Officer on numerous Crude and Petroleum tankers of various sizes. Undertook dry-dock superintendency, specifications write up, cost, and budgeting. Undertook deep sea towage and oil spill containment of a ULCC, receiving commendation from South African Governmental authorities. Bunkering operations, together with oil surveys and dispute arbitration. Wrote computer program for Oil calculations and ship accounts.

1986 - 1978 East Coast Aggregates (Rainham, UK)

Rose from 2nd Officer to Trainee Master on Sand and Gravel Suction Dredgers. Gave mathematical support to Head office for draft surveying, and theoretical dredge depth calculations.

1974 - 1985 Shipboard assignments w/5 different marine companies.
