Experience
Michigan Technological University Technical Consultant 1996 %u2013 Present
Nanotechnology Fabrication: Research, design and development of optical systems that used laser light focused in a 20 micron I.D. hollow optical fiber to guide mesoscale particles (metals, semiconductor, dielectric and biological). The opposite end of the fiber was used like a pencil to directly write these particles to surfaces.
1992 - 1996 Various teaching and employment positions in applied optics, physics, electrodynamics and classical mechanics.
Ganil Labs, Caen France, Experimental nuclear physics, Research Assistant
National Super-Conducting Cyclotron @MSU, Nuclear particle detector design
Las Cruces High School, Instructor physics, physical science, math
Other Employment Pre-1992
Blf-Accutel (General Signal), System Engineer
Design of instrumentation and control systems (SCDA) to monitor and control remote pumps, wells, for water/wastewater industry.
California Amplifier, RF/Microwave Engineer
Design of narrow and broadband small signal and high power low noise amplifiers for space communications using micro-strip and stripline technology.
Phoenix Institute of Technology, Electronics Instructor
Goodyear Aerospace, Engineering Technician
Built analog and high speed digital circuits using wire wrapping method.
