  • Completed the design, procurement and construction activities related to a major expansion of production capacity. The project included adding reactor capacity, product drying capacity and ancillary systems.
  • Designed chemical manufacturing process systems for upgrading and expanding plant facility.
  • Managed the construction for the implementation of the new systems.
  • Started-up the new units and resolved all operating issues.

  • Responsible for the United States based lithium chemical production (by brine evaporation and hard rock mining), as well as domestic and international sales.
  • Managed over 500 employees and annual sales of $65 million.

Operations Manager, Silver Peak, NV, 1978 - 1981

  • Managed the remote brine processing facility and its 65 employees.
  • Completed two successful brine well drilling campaigns which resulted in the life of the operation increasing by a factor of two.
  • Instituted a four day work week which reduced employee turnover by about 10%.

Manager, Process Development, 1974 - 1977

  • Reactivated a Virginia Processing plant that had been closed for four years, which enabled the company to stay in the lithium hydroxide business after a toll producer ceased production.
