Experienced in industrial, medical and specialty gas plant design, operation and safety for oxygen, nitrogen, argon, helium, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, acetylene, rare gases, dopants, fluorine and fluorine compounds, hydrocarbons, acid gases, etchants and cryogenic liquids. Specifically:

• Gaseous fires and explosion investigations and incident reconstruct to determine causes and fuel sources.
• Safety monitoring of production and storage of gases.
• Verify compliance with DOT, CGA, NFPA, OSHA, F&DA and other regulatory statutes.
• Expert Witness regarding gaseous fires and explosions, product liability and labels.
• Design of product labels and preparation of Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Write operation manuals and production procedures for the safe use of gas products.

Independent Consultant 1983 - Present

• Technical assessment and expert witness related to gas handling, gas hazards and gas related accidents.
• Technical Advisor activity in China resulted in the creation of two National Technical Institutes; The Beijing Specialty Gas Research Institute and The Beijing Institute of Chemical Reagents.
